Google Apps.

Description: Google Apps is a service from Google for using custom domain names with several Google products. It features several Web applications with similar functionality to traditional office suites, including: Gmail, Google Calendar, Talk, Docs and Sites.

  • Enter Event
  • Private/Public
  • Share Calendar
4. GoogleDocs
  • Layout of screen: Google Menu, Search Box, Filters & Options, Document List, Various Icons Represent the Various Types of Docs, Sort Options, Organization Tools, Docs Help
  • Create: Doc, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Form, Drawing, Collection, Form Template
    • Each Template has standard text that you can replace
  • Collections (Folders) and Tagging
  • Docs opens all files in a new tab or window.
    • Which can lead to numerous windows being open.
    • You can change this in your settings. (Gear at the top right.)
  • 1 person create document - share with neighbor (editing)
  • File - See Revision History
  • Spreadsheets-Magic Fill
    • Enter 2 items, highlight them, hold control and drag corner handle down to fill.
  • Actions Pull Down
  • Upload a file-will have to make some formatting decisions
  • Share: Can make public on the web to anyone, share within your domain, share only with those with a link, or make private.
